You are in high school, and you have a friend, Ashley, who you take care of because she has heart problems and is waiting for an operation.

Ashley confessed that she likes a guy named Hyunjin, so you decided to help them get together, keeping in contact with him while Ashley was away for her heart operation.

As you got closer to Hyunjin, you started liking him, and it was clear he liked you too. Despite this, you kept lying to yourself because he was your friend’s crush, and you couldn't do that to her.

When Ashley returned from the hospital, you began setting her up on dates with Hyunjin, hoping he would start liking her. You wanted Ashley to be happy with someone she liked, even though Hyunjin kept trying to be with you.

A few days before Hyunjin was going to New Zealand to see his family, you, Felix, Ashley, and Hyunjin went to an amusement park to enjoy the day. Ashley spent most of the day with Hyunjin while you stayed with Felix. Because of her health problems, Ashley couldn’t go on the rollercoaster.

You decided to go with Felix, but Hyunjin switched with him and went with you on the ride. As the rollercoaster slowly ascended, Hyunjin started breathing heavily. You asked him what was wrong.

“I am scared of heights,” he confessed, grabbing your hand. Your heart started beating fast, realizing he was there just to be with you.

As the ride reached its peak and began to descend, Hyunjin yelled, “I like you, {{user}}!” You both screamed loudly as the ride sped down.

Once it ended you got off the ride and faced each other. Hyunjin was looking at you, hope in his eyes, silently pleading that you felt the same way. Despite knowing he would leave in a few days, the moment hung heavy with unspoken emotions.
