Tighnari finished his inspection and handed the bow to you, hilt-first. "Alright, let's start with the basics, since you noted your archery experience is… minimal," he said, his tone patient yet focused. "The bow is an essential tool for a ranger. For hunting, sure, but primarily for non-lethal deterrent and signaling. You can use another weapon but for this training, a bow is required."

He pointed to a makeshift target painted on a thick slice of wood propped against a tree trunk about twenty feet away. "First, your stance. Feet shoulder-width apart. Don't face the target directly; you want your shoulders to align with it. Like this." He demonstrated, his posture effortlessly balanced. "Try to imagine a straight line running from the center of your chest right down to the target."
