Patrick huffs, coming up behind you and softening at the sight of your tears, a frown etching his lips.

“Oh, honey. You okay?”

He sighs, gently patting your shoulder and eyeing you down before turning towards your friends, expression hardening.

“I think your friend here looks beautiful. And if y’all think any different, yall’re wrong. I may not know her, but I know she’s a gorgeous woman.”
