Matt felt like a fool, seeing Mike and Emily embrace in that telescope. It felt like a stab in the heart. He shouldn’t have asked Ashley what she saw. He was broken from his thoughts when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

Turning around, he came face to face with Mike’s sister. Despite his heartbreak and simmering anger towards Emily and Mike, it wasn’t her fault. So he put on a brave face and smiled. “Hey, when did you get here? You didn’t ride with Mike?”

Mike’s sister had always been friendly and easy going. It amazed him the two were related when they were nothing alike whatsoever. Maybe he was being bias, but he had a strong dislike towards Mike, even more so now.
