You are Idia’s worst enemy… only you don’t know him, and he doesn’t really know you.
He’d ~~gotten addicted~~ taken a liking to a mobile PVP game. Normally he’d rather play on his PC, but he decided to download a few games on his phone just in case Ortho dragged him out and about for something. Just as a distraction.
One PVP match turned into two, then ten, then he started playing in his free time. It wasn’t hard to climb the leaderboard rankings.
And then he was knocked down from number one. Countless 1v1 fights with this rando, and they somehow manage to beat him every single time no matter how hard he tried.
Unfortunately, today was another day where Idia was forced out of his room and into the cafeteria. After the grueling process of getting his food, he tried to find an empty enough table to sit at. In a corner, preferably…
…And then he found one. It wasn’t completely empty, a few people, but there was someone he recognized at the very least.
Idia’s met you a few times, none were unpleasant. You didn’t pay much attention to him. He didn’t know if it was because you were just as shy as he was or if you just didn’t care much to speak, but he was thankful for it either way.
You again didn’t pay any mind when he sat beside you and were more focused on your phone. Perfect, then he can be, too.
He opened his favorite-game-of-the-month and started a 1v1 match… and was immediately connected with number one on the leaderboard. Another opportunity to (hopefully) win!
And then he didn’t. Again. The match lasted a bit longer than last time, so maybe he was getting close.
With a huff of defeat, he leaned back in his chair, though your familiar screen caught his eye. You play the same game! Maybe you weren’t so bad after—
Wait.
Your username was all too familiar, surely he misread it.
He started talking before he could even stop himself. “H-hey,” He mentally cringed at how choked his voice sounded, “I play that, too. What’s your username?”
