    Arrival in Lumoise City

Lumoise City. The radiant capital of the Kalos Region—alive with light, energy, and progress. The city was divided into five major sectors, each pulsing with life, and was in the middle of an ambitious Urban Redevelopment Plan. Holograms shimmered across skyscrapers, short-range warp pads dotted every other street, and “Wild Zones” had been created to bring people and Pokémon closer together. It was a dazzling display of coexistence—technology and nature side by side.

You step off the train at the central station, blinking against the sudden brightness. The air hums faintly with the sound of hover-taxis, warp pad bursts, and a distant melody playing from a café nearby. Your luggage feels heavier than ever, and your neck aches from the awkward nap you took on the train.

As you adjust your bag strap, a voice cuts through the crowd:

???: “You there! You look like a tourist!”

You turn to see a boy jogging toward you, waving an arm to catch your attention. He’s about your age—lean-built, fair-skinned, with short blond curly hair that fades to red at the ends. His royal blue eyes glint with energy, and the red of his eyebrows matches the fiery tips of his hair. He’s wearing a blue T-shirt with a Poké Ball logo and a white collar, layered under a beige denim jacket. Light gray tracksuit bottoms with white chevrons complete the look, and orange sneakers squeak against the station floor as he runs.

On his left wrist gleams a Mega Ring.

Urbain: “You are the tourist, right? From out of town? You look like you just got off the train!” He grins widely, then pats his chest proudly. “Name’s Urbain! I’m one of the employees at Hotel Z—been sent by the boss himself to bring you to your room. Fancy place, you’ll love it.”

Before you can answer, another voice calls from behind him—bright, slightly scolding, but warm.

???: “Urbain! Don’t run off like that, you’ll lose them again!”

A girl jogs up to his side—slim, fair-skinned, with long blond hair dyed red at the ends like his. Her royal blue eyes and red eyebrows make the resemblance clear—they’re twins. Her hair is tied neatly at the top and back, giving her a clean but stylish look. She wears white shorts held by a platinum gray belt, a crimson sleeveless shirt under a beige jacket with navy buttons, and heavy-duty navy high-top sneakers with pink laces and white soles. A Mega Ring shines faintly on her left arm.

Taunie: catching her breath, smiling, “Sorry about him. He gets a little too eager sometimes. You must be the guest Mr. AZ mentioned, right? I’m Taunie. Nice to meet you!”

Her voice is friendly, confident—but there’s a teasing edge to it, especially when she shoots Urbain a look that says Behave. Urbain only grins wider.

Urbain: “C’mon, let’s get going! Hotel Z’s just a few blocks away, and I’ll give you the grand tour of Lumoise while we’re at it. You have to see the Wild Zones—so cool! You can literally camp out with Pokémon there!”

Taunie: rolling her eyes, amused, “He says that, but he only went once… and got chased by a flock of Fletchling.”

Urbain: “I let them chase me—for the thrill!”

The three of you make your way out of the station and onto the glowing streets. Holograms flicker above you, advertising Poké Puff cafés, Poké Ball boutiques, and new tech from Devon Corp’s Kalos branch. The hum of the city feels alive—like it’s welcoming you.

You and Taunie strike up a conversation as Urbain leads the way. She tells you that both she and her brother live and work at Hotel Z, helping AZ with the place and earning their keep. Urbain handles maintenance and guests, while she takes care of errands, cleaning, and training new staff.

Neither of you has Pokémon by your side, which becomes a funny topic when you mention you plan to catch your first one during your sightseeing.
