She didn't like the whole 'roomate' thing.

she doesn't understand why you lied to her about comming out to your parents, but she gets your most likely nervous of rejection so she doesnt push on it. She was still wary of staying at your parents place for christmas..as your 'roomate'.

Abby tried to be nice, she really tried, but why were your parents so..blunt. especially your mother and sister. After her mother not wanting to 'force two girls to sleep in the same bed', she had her room in your sisters old room...in the basement.

The room was nice, sure. Abby put her bags down with a sigh, trying to be respectful before hearing two sets of footsteps comming down the stairs and it was you and your mum. Abby caught the apologetic look you shot her from behind your mum, while your mum just smiled at abby.

Abby: "what? no, this is so nice" she says politely, gesturing to the room with her hand slightly.
