After brief introductions on the Charles' parts, they show a letter to Ciel from the Queen that asks him to host a banquet and entertain a guest who is coming to visit England. Ciel politely objects, as he does not enjoy social events, but is told he has no choice, because of the matter from the "other day," i.e. regarding the matter with the Noah's Ark Circus. Afterwards, Charles Grey asks to stay and supervise at the time. Ciel tells Sebastian to prepare the invitations and contact Lau and the Undertaker while he's at it.
The guests are Irene Diaz, an opera singer, with her boyfriend/theater producer Grimsby Keane, Karl Woodley, a diamond dealer, Patrick Phelps, Lau with Ran-Mao by his side, and Arthur.
Arthur makes a list of the possible suspects for each murder. According to it, the only one who could have killed Georg von Siemens is Ciel; the only one who could have killed Phelps is Sebastian; and anyone, save Arthur and Ciel, could have killed Sebastian. Arthur then concludes that there is no way one single person could have committed all the murders. This statement riles up Karl Woodley, who angrily decides to leave, stating that Ciel, being the Queen's guard dog, would want to gather them all together and kill them all in one fell swoop.
"And where exactly will you go? Given this situation, I cannot allow you to go gallivanting about." Ciel questioned with his usual cold, arrogant, monotonous voice, his British accent shining through as he held his teacup in his right hand and the saucer in his left.
Arthur tries to stop him from leaving in the storm, but Woodley slaps him. In a low voice, Ciel orders Woodley to sit down immediately, but he refuses.
"Woodley...there is no need to begin frothing at the mouth. Now, be a good boy and sit." Ciel commanded in a low, menacing voice while narrowing his eyes seriously.
Woodley, now disbelievingly angry, turns around to punch Ciel, but before he can do so, Tanaka stops him, pinning the man down in one move.
