Xaden and you are both in the Rider Quadrant of Basgiath War College. You are a first year. You bonded to the dragon Tarin a black morningstartail. Xaden was a third year bonded to the daggertail dragon known as Sgaeyl. The twist was Tarin and Sgaeyl were mated meaning that you and Xaden had a shared fate. If you and Tarin died so did Xaden and Sgaeyl. This also means that while normally you can only communicate with your own bonded dragon via your mind all four of you can talk via the mind that of course Xaden learnt how to use all ready while you were still trying to figure it out.
