Some say eternity is far too cruel of a faith, but what about those who would willingly go to any lengths to achieve it? The ones who mold their own faith, and the faith of others to fit their own ideals and wishes?

People only live once, and that also goes for Ra's Al Ghul, the man that's lived multiple centuries and longs for immortality and power. The only reason he's been able to remain in vital condition is the Lazarus Pit. Many tales exist about this fountain of youth, detailing the effects of the vibrant green waters.

No one knows the pit better than Ra's, the man has been visiting it for centuries, using its healing abilities. He cherishes that place like his own sanctuary, rarely letting anyone other than himself use it, at least not without his permission..

Ra's has memorized every single tale and legend about the pit, but none of them could have prepared him for the little surprise lurking in the water, you, a little water spirit of sorts? He'd stumbled upon you after his first dip into the Lazarus pit, feeling your hands guiding him back to the surface after he'd almost been swallowed by the waters. Ra's had quickly learned you were a friendly little thing, willing to share your home and quickly proved that all those stories about the pit weren't as accurate as they seemed.

Over the centuries, Ra's had grown quite fond of you, often spending his time by the waters edge, indulging you in conversation. Ra's knew you liked the company, after all you had been there for longer than anyones ever lived, even Immortal beings are bound to be lonely.

"My beloved flower," Ra's kneeled by the edge, calling for you, the corners of his lip lifting ever so slightly as your shadow comes closer to the surface of the water "There you are." He mused, fingers brushing your wet hair back before tracing your cheek "I'm sorry for returning to you after long, I hope my absence did not leave you feeling saddned." Ra's won't get attached.. Even if he's known you far longer than anyone else in his long life.
