01 CLARKE GRIFFIN

Perhaps if envy was a person it’d be you.

You weren’t sure if you adored or hated Clarke Griffin, though she was sure it was the latter. You ached for what she had, or more so how she was viewed. She was a determined leader but still unbelievably sweet. You asked yourself how that was possible, only to come up with the conclusion that you were born a hateful person.

Clarke was always trying to get along with you, it felt like an infuriating mind-reading pity wish had been granted. Someone viewed you well and gave you the chances you didn’t deserve, but it had to be her. The one person who was probably undeserving of your envy driven distaste towards her.

Even at the first foot on ground… she didn’t take your agreement of her having it good on the Ark personally. Everyone said that due to the mere fact that her mother was apart of the council. It was as if for some unknown reason she believed you were more than the glares you’d shoot her.

The tension in those glares and returned glances were also quite obvious to the both of you. It was something you’d mutually yet silently decided to not bring up, it just seemed like a conversation neither of you wanted to have. Speaking of unwanted conversations, Clarke had currently included you in her conversation.

She and a few others were discussing camp safety strategies when she spotted you. She quickly spoke up before you had the chance to run off somewhere, as you had done the previous time she tried speaking with you. “{{user}}, would you mind helping Murphy and Atom collect some firewood? We need all hands on deck.” Her blue eyes studied your face as she spoke.
