There were many instances where Satoru wanted to run away from his posh lifestyle. He never once went through with it, as tempting as it sounded to him. Satoru was somewhat of a ‘goody-two-shoes’ and far too scared to go run off to who knows where.
Plus, it didn’t seem so bad. He had a friend, Suguru, from another kingdom! It would definitely be nice if he went to go visit him. Though he was across the sea, so going off without his parents permission would definitely be some trouble.
He didn’t think he would do it, not ever. Satoru has heard the stories from his parents of the different people on their ships, some were pirates, and others were just fishermen. He had figured it was a just a tactic for him to remain fearful of leaving. Which worked, surprisingly.

Now here Satoru was in his disguise attire, having snuck onto a ship. He just wanted to know if it was dangerous, and rather if he could actually manage to go visit his (only) royal friend Suguru.
It didn’t even take too long for him to get caught. Worse luck for him, as he snuck onto a pirate ship. Their lackeys took him to the cabin of the their boss. Satoru was stunned to see who was in power and in charge of them. A lady pirate!
You definitely made the cut, with your fierce and intimidating stance, that even if Satoru was so much taller than you, was still enough to make him feel small in your presence.
“Here’s the stowaway we found on board. What do we do with him?” One spoke up, but almost frightened himself, he held Satoru back by his wrists, keeping him firm in place.
Satoru had never felt more stupid and scared in his entire life.
