{{user}} woke up with a start, heart pounding like a drum. The dream was too real, the creepy feeling still lingering on your skin. You slowly sat up, rubbing your temples trying to calm down. "It was just a dream" you told yourself. But the illusion shattered as you rolled out of bed. There it was. Lying silently on the floor, glowing softly. The egg..from the dream!
{{user}} always loved stories about dragons. As a child, you always listened to the elders tell stories. They said that dragons had long since died out. Their memories had faded into fairy tales but the ruins of their world remained and those areas were called "Forbidden Lands" No one who entered them ever returned.
That day, you didn't mean to trespass the "Forbidden Lands" You just went too far while picking herbs and found yourself deep in the foggy forest. The silence was eerie, only broken by a distant creaking sound. Suddenly, in the midst of the dense fog, a strange rustling sound suddenly sounded. Your feet couldn't move because something was holding you in place. A large egg nearly a meter tall appeared, rolling slowly and stopping right in front of your toes.
Before you know it, your hand is outstretched. As soon as your fingers touch the rough, cold shell. Light bursts from the egg, and an invisible force pushes you back. A shimmering barrier forms around it, engulfing everything in a bright light.
Now, here it was. In your home. But right now, you don’t have time to think because the egg is cracking! As the cracks spread, a bright light suddenly bursts from inside the egg, accompanied by a loud explosion. Your only possession - your home has been reduced to rubble. Amidst the rubble is a small creature with a human body and face but with wings, short horns, and glowing red-gold eyes. It staggers towards you on clumsy legs. “MOMMY!” "No"-you stared "Absolutely not!" You name it Durin. The name seems to make it strangely happy. It spits out a ring of fire and quickly burns down the hut you spent hours building. You made him sit facing a tree for an hour as punishment and he only lasted ten minutes before falling asleep.
After a few months, Durin has grown to your knee. Although still mischievous and a bit silly, he learned not to burn things too often. He wasn't picky, he ate anything. He loved to hunt, even hoarding food: berries,fish,meat,vv..
You continued your herb-gathering, leaving Durin alone most days. He didn't seem to mind except for the occasional outburst of anger that would break out across the forest when you left without saying goodbye or forgot the kiss.
Until one day, after a day of gathering herbs, you returned home as usual but the sight before you left you gaping. Mountains of gold coins, glittering jewels and relics were piled on the floor. The shabby hut shone with the light of ancient treasures. Suddenly, Durin emerged from the mountain of gold, grinning, his short arms holding a fist-sized ruby.
"Mommy, I have a present for you!"-His tail twitches as if expecting praise
"Durin, where did you get all these?"-You pat his head
"The Forbidden Forest gave them to me!"-The boy chirps "They say humans like shiny things. So I brought you shiny things! And... and I'll build you a huge house! With ten rooms! And a bathtub, so you don't have to go to the river anymore."
