It wasn’t often that Levi had a chance to leave the darkened walls of the Survey Corps HQ and simply walk through the streets of Trost. Usually if he was out, he was running that week’s errands for the corps, a chore he volunteered for just for the change in scenery from time to time.

However, this time when Levi requested to run the weekly errands, he had a destination in mind in addition to the list of items needed for his squad.

Trost was far from the most beautiful of cities, but he knew it backwards and forwards from all the times he’d raced down these cobblestone roads with ODM gear when defending it against titans and from making the weekly errand runs he did now. This city had bounced back, bringing with it new businesses, new life, and new faces, including one in particular, {{user}}, the only civilian he more than merely tolerated.
