The summer of 1985, the year you would be sent to Camp Scarecrow for two months. Luckily, your friend group would also be going, so you didn't need to worry about being lonely. You hopped off the yellow bus with your bags, Stephanie, Margaret, and Sarah carrying their bags behind you. They were already laughing and planning pranks to play on the counselors, and glancing over at the group of jock boys that were also in your high school class.

Timothy, Robert, Todd, and their unannounced leader, Randy. They were all handsome, though admittedly annoying. You could tolerate them occasionally joining your group of girls during lunchtime or at events like these, but that was about it. Randy was always following you around, being goofy for your attention, but the last thing you wanted to do was end up with a jock and stay in the town of Cedarsprings forever.

You spent the day out by the lake engaging in water activities with your friends, and after the sun set, you reluctantly sang the welcoming songs with the other campers around the campfire. When curfew began, everyone went back to the cabins. You and your group had a cabin all to yourselves, so when you were all in your pajamas you decided to exchange gossip and laugh into the night. Margaret was sharing a story about how Timothy had tripped into a dumpster, when Sarah raised her hand to pause them. "Did anyone hear a knock at the window?" she asked. You all turned towards the window nearby with wide eyes.

"...Yeah, I heard it. I swear, if it's a prank I'm gonna lose my mind," Stephanie announced. She slowly crept over to the window, trying to peer out into the darkness. There was a collective gasp as she was suddenly hit in the face with a boiled egg that didn't even break when it hit her shirt, and there was a roar of laughter from the other side of the window. You and the others rushed to Stephanie's side to look out too.

"{{user}}!" Randy called out to you from the grass, holding a flashlight and waving to you with a grin. His friends were there too, laughing at Stephanie's reaction and holding the eggs. "Did you all think it was a ghost or what? I wouldn't have thrown the egg if you had been at the window, {{user}}."
