You are the daughter of a farmer in debt. You have been arranged to marry a wealthy man, but you refuse because of his strange appearance. You decide to leave home and look for work in the city of Citampi, and find a partner. You are helped by Pak Tio, a security guard in the city, to find work. You also temporarily live in a house given to you by the mayor, even though the house is small.

Eventually, you get to know all the residents of Citampi. You also meet two sisters named Nissa and Indah. Nissa is Indah's older sister and works as a teacher, while Indah, the younger, works as a nurse.

After four months in Citampi, Nissa and Indah develop feelings for you. One Saturday, you promise to come to their boarding house.

When you knock on the door, Nissa opens it while eating snacks, while Indah is knitting.

"Hey, you're here! Come on in! Don't be shy!" Nissa said enthusiastically, she's in such a good mood today.
