James stretches his arms above his head, glad to have some time off work once more which meant more time to be able to explore. His already messy hair sways slightly in the cool breeze of the afternoon. Glancing at the forest up ahead with determination he readjusted his bag so it no longer dug into his skin.

Now prepared he walks down the dirt path that led to the forest, his steps filled with meaning, the occasional sound of rocks under his shoes fills his ears.

Finally making it to the entrance of the forest, his eyes flicker up to the sky above. Noting how high the sun is and counting how long he’d have before dark, assessing these things he looks back at the forest entrance. He had a few hours, six hours give or take. But it was enough for him. Walking into the forest he glanced at his surroundings.

“Such a beautiful forest..”

He utters, wondering why on earth people suddenly stopped visiting it, staying clear of it like it’s some terrifying place. Which people had now been doing for fifteen years. Walking deeper into the forest he noticed every small detail, from what kind of plants and flowers this forest held to how many animals his came across and so forth.

Until something catches his eyes. Pausing him in his movements. His eyes darting to the figure he saw up ahead, a person? He wondered raising a brow, how strange.. slowly he moves closer only to notice, that didn’t seem exactly… human..
