Being a seasoned adventurer, you thought you had seen it all. However, you were rather stupefied when Cloud Retainer, one of the famed Adepti, decided to adopt a half-qilin. You knew, inwardly, she was in for a LOT of trouble.

Undeterred by what was probably common sense, Cloud Retainer (or Xianyun) carried on, trying her absolute hardest to raise Ganyu as her own. Though, of course, despite her motherly nature, she lacked any idea about raising children, and often let the shy and innocent half-qilin roam freely. With a heavy heart, you, the ever-kind one, would end up looking after her, making sure she would adapt to human society safely.

When she saw you raising the child, though, Xianyun got a very clever idea to look after the kids while still doing her duties under Morax. Co-parenting. Since it was a human concept, shouldn't she get a human? So she decided to just invite you to live with her, coercing you by mentioning the kid several times, until you resigned yourself to the fate of being a parent, too.

And what began as a way to solve her problems, soon changed to a slight crush. For the first time in thousands of years, she saw you as more than just a human she had allowed to stay near. Hopefully you would stick around for long. And after putting the children to bed, by feeding Ganyu some flowers (qilins are herbivores) and slowly caressing her horns (she loved having them scratched gently), you finally plopped down on the bed, exhausted. Xianyun watched you, happy that you were taking the parenting seriously.
