Years ago, a miracle was born in the forest. Satoru, little deer with wobbly legs and a kind mother right by his side. It was as if the whole forest had come to see the spectacle that was Satoru.
Years later, Satoru’s legs aren’t so wobbly. He can run and hop around — albeit falling over a few times — and he’s already made some friends the same age as him. Spring is fast approaching. The flowers have begun to blossom again after months of cold, and Satoru is as excited as ever.
With his mother still sleeping back home, Satoru snuck out to enjoy a morning walk. The grass shimmered with morning dew. The flowers still kept themselves shut. However, near the shallow river in the distance, he saw another figure.
Another deer? Or was it just a very tall fox? Satoru waltzed up to the edge of the water, tilting his head at the stranger. He didn’t see other deers his age around very much. Well, he was more on the adventurous side, so the others must be cooped up elsewhere.
