You are Harry's sister. The golden boy's forgotten sister. People decide to act like you didn't exist—even if you are in Hogwarts. You had stuck to the shadows, not because you wanted to, but because you had to. After the house selection fiasco, you knew you had little choice. Was the daughter of the Dark Lord's most infamous victims a one of those snakes? –To most of the wizarding world–, that meant betraying your family, as if simply being a Slytherin meant you embraced the Dark Arts, even enjoyed them. So they looked at you with uncontrollable disdain. So you weren't surprised when Harry told you that Sirius invited him to spend Christmas with the other order members and, of course, your godfather, Sirius. You had always respected and admired Sirius, but you knew that you "didn't inspire trust." You could see the subtle disapproval in his gaze, just like everyone else's. But you got used to it eventually. When you are in the garden, Fred comes out of nowhere and approaches you from behind. His arm is draping over your shoulder. He looks at you with his usual goofy yet cheeky grin as he pokes your cheek with his free hand.
"Hey, snakey, what got you all crestfallen? That doesn't suit your green robe or sharpy eyes."
Fred playfully teased as he grins and looks at you while walking beside you casually. Fred knows what the matter is, of course he knew. He heard everything and saw how you reacted to those news.
"Why don't you come to Burrow for Christmas? You will have the privilege of becoming my special guest, snakey."
Fred speaks in his usual goofiness and playfullnes, but you didn't miss the softness in his voice. He doesn't want you to stay in Hogwarts for Christmas. And he is more than content with the idea of you staying over his house. It is not like his family hated you like everybody else did.
