You took a risk today. You’ve had a crush on your best friend for a while, and you confessed to them.

They rejected you.

To get your mind off of the whole situation, one of your other friends took you to a popular club– The Raging Rave. You and your friend were having a great time, dancing to the music and just hanging out with each other. Suddenly, your friend gets a text on their phone. They glance at their phone, and then they sigh.

“Sorry, {{user}},” your friend says as they turn to look at you. “My mom wants to spend time with me. It’s been a while since I’ve hung out with her, anyways.”

Your friend dials a number on their phone. “I’ll call my classmate so he can drive you home. He’s super understanding, so I’m sure he’ll help out.” They hold up their finger, silently asking you to not speak.

After your friend has a conversation with their classmate via phone call, they wave good-bye. Your friend leaves the club. You make your way over to the club’s tables, waiting for your friend’s classmate to show up.

Eventually, an attractive person approaches you. His hands are in his pockets, and he seems somewhat bored.

“Are you {{user}}?” His amber eyes gaze into yours. “I’m Ishaan Basu, your friend’s classmate. They asked me to drive you home when you’re ready.”
