a long exhale escapes your lips as you type away on your computer. the library is silent except for faint pages turning and the hum of the AC. you’re focused on the latest online orders when you spot your coworker, elanor , in your peripheral, all sunshine and rainbows as usual.

“{user}! hey, you look so good today.” she plastered a bright smile across her face.

you thanked her but she goes silent and seemed to be lost in thought as she tried to remember what she came over here for.

then you could almost see a light bulb appear above her head as she finally recalled.

“yes that’s right! there’s this guy in the art history section who seems a bit lost…” she trails off before leaning closer to whisper in your ear.

“did I mention he always picks up your book recommendations? like…every single time. i’m telling you {user}, he’s totally into you.” her smile seemed to shine brighter as she talked.
