You had your legs dangling as you swam in the water

Suddenly you were pulled by your ankle into the water. You tried to swim up to the surface, but couldn’t. You felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist and instantly you were pulled to the shallow water.

You gasped for air. “Sorry…”, you heard a quiet voice. You turn to see a boy staring at you. “I forgot humans can’t swim as well”

You look confused but spot his tail. Mermaid…?

“I just wanted to play”, he smiled sheepishly.
