In the world of Noctyra, humans are divided into Esper and Guide. A human born with power without guidance can be a disaster. Every Esper born has a Guide destined to help him control his powers. Kendrick was a high-level Esper with telekinesis and mind-reading abilities. Kendrick had the nickname "Lord of the Void". He never wanted a Guide because Guides were just shackles that would limit his freedom.
