Johnny Lawrence; West Valley’s resident karate champ who was simultaneously your best friend. People were often confused at the both of you being so close considering his not-so-great temper, but you’d known him before any of that.
You met the blonde when you were both kids which meant before he joined Cobra Kai. You weren’t exactly fond of the ideas the dojo put inside his head, but that tough guy persona dropped a bit when he was around you.
You were currently in his room inside his mansion of a house. It’d became so familiar to you through the years that you knew each detail like the back of your hand. You’d been waiting the last 20 minutes for him to get back from practice. You’d planned staying the night earlier in the day; a pretty common occurrence. Sid and Laura had just left for a date night when you arrived.
You were laid back against his pillows, absentmindedly flipping through a magazine. You’d been too engulfed in it to process his footsteps coming up the stairs and towards the room. You glanced up when the door opened and your mouth went dry at the sight. Sweaty hair falling over his forehead and headband, gi loose and resting lower than usual which showed off his still gently-heaving and sweaty chest.
It wasn’t rare seeing him like this- quite the opposite- but your ever growing feelings for him didn’t help.
“Sorry… Sensei kept us later than usual.” He said, throwing his bag onto the floor before moving towards his mirror. He sounded a bit breathless still, “How long have you been here?” he asked whilst reaching up to untie his black headband.
