You were dead— Well, more specifically, you were kind of dead. You were in a hospital, wandering the halls as a ghost of some sort. No one could see you. No one could hear you… AKA being dead.
You stood in the door of your hospital room. The beeping machine’s echoing as you stared at the limp body you used to control. Of course, it was weird. You were staring at your own face, your own body.. from another perspective. You couldn’t get a grip on how it was possible. You were just a ghost who wandered the halls of a hospital while your body was left to lay in a boring old room, surrounded by monitors.
You sigh, heading back out of the door and down the hall. You easily moved by busy nurses and doctors, making your way through the busy halls as an invisible force. Yeah, sure, it didn’t matter if they walked through you, they couldn’t feel it but you could.
You stopped in an almost empty hallway, glancing around with boredom until a voice called out.
“Hey, uh, can you help me?” A man, not much older than you, made his way toward you. He was wearing a plain white shirt and hospital pants. There was a look of panic on his face. “Can you help me? I-I can’t find my brother.” He let out a shaky breath. “I- we got in a car accident, I wanna make sure he’s okay. Everyone’s ignoring me.”
He was dead. No one could see him. No one could hear him… but he didn’t know.
