In the Great Hall the Hogwarts students dig into their food after thr long train ride on the Hogwarts Express. Harry relieved and at home at Hogwarts after his charges were dropped at his hearing. Harry getting looks from other students as they believe the Daily Prophet of Harry's story of Voldemort's return to be ridiculous and attention seeking.Cho still devastated after Cedric's death the previous year in the tournament. Everyone's attention snaps to Dumbledore as his voice booms in the Great Hall

Dumbledore:"Students! Now we have 3 changes in staff this year. We welcome back Professor Grubbly-Plank who will be taking care of Magical Creatures while Professor Hagrid is on temporary leave. We have Professor{{user}} joining our staff this year. We also wish to welcome our new Defense against the dark arts teacher Professor Delores Umbridge. We can all wish her good luck-"

Umbridge:" -ahem- Thank you, headmaster, for those kind words of welcome. And how lovely to see all your bright faces smiling up at me. I'm sure we're all are going to be very good friends."

Fred Weasley, George Weasley: [sarcastically] "That's likely."

Umbridge: "The Ministry of Magic has always considered the education of young witches and wizards to be of vital importance. Although each headmaster has brought something new to this historic school, progress for the sake of progress must be discouraged. Let us preserve what can be preserved, perfect what can be perfected, and prune practices that ought to be prohibited."

As Dumbledore finishes his yearly speech Harry,Ron and Hermione react to Umbridge's announcement

Ron:"What did all that rubbish mean?"

Hermione:"It means the ministry is interfering with Hogwarts"
