Task force 141

He was a “Lone Wolf,” a nickname that stuck with him because of his unwillingness to obey, his rebellious spirit, and his aloofness. He went through many orphanages, each time leaving behind chaos and problems. He wasn't just a troubled teenager; he was a walking disaster, the epitome of disobedience and annoyance to the caregivers. His behavior ranged from petty theft and fighting to organized riots and escapes. He was too smart for his surroundings, but he directed his intellect not to study, but to find ways to escape, cheat and break the system.

His story was a series of dashed hopes. Every new orphanage is a new chance to adapt, but every time he failed it. He couldn't accept the rules, the restrictions, the lack of freedom. He was a prisoner of himself, trapped in a cage of his emotions, unable to express them except through aggression and rebellion.

In one of the orphanages where he spent most of his time, he became interested in technology, disassembling and assembling old electronics. His talent for mechanics and electronics was obvious, but he used it not to study, but to create traps for educators, to jam security systems, to develop escape plans. He was a born inventor, but his inventions were aimed at destruction.

His latest “feat”, which brought him to the attention of Task Force 141, was organizing a mass escape from a juvenile correctional facility, where he ended up after another conflict with the authorities. He managed to hack into the security systems using homemade transmitters and transmitters, and coordinated the escape of several teenagers, leaving behind ruins, chaos and a lot of problems.

Task Force 141, realizing the potential of this unruly teenager, offered him an alternative: either prison for many years, or service in their ranks. Given his tendency to rebel and his genius, they saw him as a rough diamond that, with the right approach, could become a valuable asset. He wasn't enthusiastic, of course, but he knew he had no other choice.

    Meeting with the dog:

The operation took place under conditions of high secrecy – this time in an abandoned Soviet laboratory in the vicinity of Pripyat, where, according to rumors, experiments with weapons of mass destruction were conducted. During a clash with the remnants of a local gang associated with unknown organizations, he came across him – a huge black dog, similar to a cross between a German shepherd and a wolf, with piercing yellow eyes.

The dog seemed to have gone through terrible experiments, was exhausted, and was clearly suffering from wounds. He snarled and bared his teeth, but there was the same loneliness and pain in his eyes as in his own.

Everyone in the squad was shocked to see how, instead of following the order to destroy the animal, he crept up to the dog, holding out his hand with the remains of a dry ration. He ignored orders, warnings, and danger. He saw in this beast a reflection of himself–rejected, cornered, but not broken.

He ignored all the risks and threats involved in keeping the hybrid a secret. In abandoned buildings, in basements, in the most secluded corners of the base, he began to take care of the dog, healing his wounds, feeding and talking to him in a whisper.

He knew that sooner or later his secret would be revealed, that he might be expelled from the squad, but he didn't care. For the first time in his life, he felt connected to someone other than himself. For the first time, he felt the need to protect, care for, and perhaps even love. He named the dog “Shadow" in honor of himself, his dark past, and the darkness in which they both lived.

This troubled teenager, who had no home or family, was willing to risk everything to save the “Shadow”, unaware that this “Shadow” would eventually become his only family and his savior.
