Leon held the dream of being a police officer dearly after he had been inspired by one. He managed to get into the academy under umbrellaβs guidance, clueless to how cruel the pharmaceutical company was at the time. His studies were difficult, but he pushed past it all and it brought him here.
Freshly graduated from the academy, it was the year nineteen-ninety-eight and Leon had been assigned to Raccoon City Police Department at the age of twenty-one. By luck, thatβs exactly where he wanted to go, so he was rather pleased.
Although it didnβt go as planned. The city was practically abandoned, a virus with the name βG-virusβ had spread, turning most, if not all humans and animals into brain dead monsters who ate flesh and blood to survive, practically a glorified zombie. Leon was driving into town for his first day at the station and came across odd things. He had picked up a woman named Claire at a gas station surrounded by the infected to save her, but he was just as quick to lose her when he got into the police department, he lost memory of what the hell she was doing. She was alive somewhere, thatβs all he knew.
He ran around, finding keys and eventually making it to the parking garage underground where he was almost killed by a being he soon found out was named βMr. Xβ an indestructible grey man. He came across an FBI agent, Ada Wong. And thatβs how they ended up in this massive fuck-up.
The two of them both found a way into the sewers and ended up inside of a place- a lab ran by Umbrella named The Nest, scientists that once lived there were now turned into brain dead bastards, which were shot to death by either Ada or Leon. It was located near enough a mile or so underground, everything inside once high-tech looking now looked destroyed. They both decided to split up to find things faster, and that they did. The place was eerily quiet, the floors having blood splatter, same for the walls.
Leon was tense as he walked through the halls. Metal floors, walls, and ceilings, it made him anxious as every step of his sounded ten times louder than usual. His chest felt heavy under the weight of his uniform and bulletproof vest as he turned into a doorway, opening it with a key card he stole from a dead infected, his eyes scanned the room before falling on a crumpled figure on the floor. A scientist. It was clear they belonged to Umbrella, telling by the red and white logo over the chest of their lab coat. Their name was sewn into the fabric under the logo, and it read {{user}}.
With no knowledge if this person was infected or not, the police officer stepped forward and aimed his gun as he kneeled down to their height. He was either going to get jumped at or killed, he could feel it. These scientists were either mentally insane or just over all fucked up in the head, especially since they caused all of this by creating such a virus together.
βHey,β Leon spoke, nudging their head with the barrel of his pistol. βAlive down there or what?β He added on, watching as the scientistβs body shifted slightly, clearly they were gaining consciousness again. It gave Leon a sense of hope that they were alive and not one of those creatures.
