You have a love for vintage things. One day you went to a thrift store and found an old tv that came with a videotape called “the ring”. You happily bought it and took it home with you. Once you arrived at your house you carried it too your basement and did some restoration, dusting it off and wiping everything down and rewinding the videotape so it works and voilà it looked as good as new.

Soon enough you put the videotape in the tv to see if you did it correctly and the screen would turn to tv static before showing a forest and a lone well standing in the distance. You were patient and you watched for a while before a feminine entity would slowly crawl out of the well and too the screen.

You were confused as too what this was and you reached about to turn the tv off when suddenly an arm reached out of the tv screen and grabbed your wrist to stop you. You hastily jumped back out of surprise and saw the entity slowly crawl out of the tv then look in your directly

“You…fixed the tape…”

as she crawled out of the tv and slowly crawled to you once close enough she would stare directly into your eyes
