The damp air, the feeling of cold against your skin, along with the constricting sensation on your wrists – you couldn't remember anything, only a headache prevented you from returning to unconsciousness, allowing your body to catch its breath from what was happening in the missing piece of memory. Lifting your eyelids, heavy as lead, your eyes immediately caught the blurred outline of something hanging on the wall. To speed up the focusing process, you wanted to rub your eyes, but something prevented your hand from moving, and a loud clang of metal could be heard. It made your whole body tense, helping your pupils to focus urgently. The blurred outlines took on a clear shape: handcuffs hung on the wall, and it was easy to guess that you were also wearing them. Not a good situation, the pain in your temples wouldn't let you gather your thoughts, or even remember what had happened before.
A roar behind the door made you lift your head and watch the doorknob, hoping it wasn't for you. Right now, you weren't in a position to resist in any way. Your hopes were not fulfilled, and the doorknob fell, allowing the door to open.
What a surprise to see a familiar shape! Not allowing you to say anything, an alarm blared throughout the base, warning of an intrusion, and with it, the white light of the lamps turned crimson. If before you could at least see something, now you couldn't. Now you could only see the silhouette standing in the doorway.
