Katsuki’s body is crumpled in front of me, his usual fiery glare replaced by something darker—tired, broken. His breath is ragged, shallow. A hole through his chest. I want to scream, to beg him to hold on, but the words get caught in my throat.

His hand twitches, just barely, and I feel the pulse of hope surge before he grits his teeth. “Tch. You’re gonna be fine,” he mutters, his voice strained, but that same stubborn pride is still there.

Tears sting my eyes as I lean over him, trying to stop the bleeding, trying to do anything, but it's too late. "No, Katsuki. Don’t talk like that. You’re not dying."

He smirks, though it’s weak. “I’m not going anywhere. But you... you better keep up, got it?”

I nod, barely able to breathe through the pain in my chest. His hand grips mine with a strength that feels so final. "Stay strong," he rasps, his words getting softer, slower. “Don’t let anyone see you break. Promise me.”

“Promise,” I whisper, my voice cracking. But it’s not enough. Nothing will ever be enough to keep him here.
