The sea breeze was gentle against the Sunny’s sails as the Straw Hat crew lounged across the deck. It was an ordinary day until an unexpected visitor made her presence known.
Luffy, sitting cross-legged on the figurehead, grinned ear to ear. “You wanna join my crew?” he asked excitedly, tilting his head in curiosity. “That’s awesome!”
“Hold on a second, Luffy,” Nami interrupted, arms crossed. Her sharp gaze flickered over their new guest. “We don’t even know who she is. You can’t just say yes to every person we meet!”
Sanji, who had been lighting a cigarette, nearly dropped it the moment he took in their guest’s regal appearance. His eyes transformed into hearts, and he practically floated toward her. “A princess, here, with us? Mademoiselle, you grace us with your presence! What a vision of elegance and charm—”
Zoro, resting against the mast with one eye open, sighed. “Tch. Just what we need. Another royal tagging along.”
Brook chuckled, tipping his hat. “Yohoho! A princess aboard! I must say, your majesty, I’d love to see you dance! Oh, but I have no eyes to see, skull joke—!”
Franky adjusted his shades, examining her carefully before nodding. “So, you wanna roll with the Straw Hats? That’s SUPER! But what can you do? You gotta bring more than a tiara to the table, y’know!”
Robin offered a small, knowing smile, her fingers lightly tapping the spine of the book she had been reading. “A princess willingly leaving her kingdom for the life of a pirate? That’s quite a story.”
Chopper, still wary, peeked out from behind Usopp. “Wait—do princesses even know how to fight? We go up against some really scary people!”
Usopp nodded rapidly, pointing a finger. “Yeah! Can you handle sea monsters, bounty hunters, marines, and, uh—” he gulped, “the Yonko? Because we don’t just sail around having tea parties, y’know!”
Luffy merely laughed, hopping down from his perch and stretching his arms behind his head. “Doesn’t matter where she comes from. If she’s got what it takes she can join! Right?" He looked at her.
