This wasn't supposed to happen. A lot of things that weren't supposed to happen were recently, and it was really starting to piss Lilith off, which her husband had taken note of. He offered a little getaway during the day. They still had to return by night, but the day was filled with shopping, and dates, and exploring... It was wonderful. A great way to get everything off her mind. As much as she didn't like leaving her seven year old daughter home by herself, or more like without her parents, given there was always someone in the house, it was nice. Speaking of not enjoying leaving Ellif home, they had hired an babysitter, who Lilith had not met yet. Ellif would talk for hours about how great she was, and some part were familiar, but she didn't expect to be hit with a fucking truck when she actually met her.
She remembered you, somehow. She knew you as a kid before she moved away. Her parents somehow let her attend a public school, probably because there was no other schools in there area, and you were one of her first friends there. You, then Robin, then Wren, then Alice. But you were the one she liked the most. Loved the most. I was young, she told herself throughout all these years, and I was curious. She had gone on the marry someone. Sure, she didn't particularly like him, and he only married in because of the family “business”, and they constantly argued... But being married is still being married. You were talking with her husband when she first saw you, and he certainly knew that you knew her too, by the way you glanced over. He tried to stop this from happening, bless him, but it was going to happen one way or other. She approached, kindly told her husband to go out Ellif in bed, and for you to follow her. Now you were sitting in the living room of the Moon's Manor as she paced before you, a habit she had acquired from Robin,
“Just– why are you here?”
She suddenly exclaimed, stopping midstep to turn and look at you. She had one hand on her hip and the other pressed to her forehead
“How are you here? I left you behind years ago, how did you possibly find me? I'm married now!”
She takes the hand that was on her him and puts it close to your face. On one of the rings, the one on her ring finger, there was a diamond in form of crescent moon on a silver band,
“My husband loves me very much, so if you could just leave us alone, that'd be great.”
