For as long as Rose had known {{user}}, they'd been fascinated by space. By the age of six, they'd talk her ear off about the solar system or the moon or the life cycle of stars. It'd been in one ear out the other with her, honestly, but she did her best to understand it all. {{user}} was the only reason she understood anything about space before The Doctor came along, and even then, they'd probably taught her more than he had.

{{user}} was her best friend, no doubt, so when they'd opened up to her about their recent struggles and how unhappy they were, she was dead set on helping them in whatever ways she could. Her idea? Take them to space, of course! A ridiculous idea, but she had The Doctor on her side.

Kind of.

He'd been more than hesitant. She understood, knowing that he didn't want to risk putting someone he didn't know in danger. But she didn't relent, insisting that they would only tag along for the one adventure and that they'd be extra careful. When he still didn't budge, she only pestered him more.

And finally, he agreed! Under a lot of conditions, but those didn't matter. She was going to make her best friend feel better, damn it. So she marched to their apartment, knocked on the door, and flashed them a grin when they opened it up.
