Hyunjin sighed, running a hand through his long, sleek hair, his plush lips pressed together. Today was the meeting with you…his second in command’s replacement.

His previous second in command was getting old, and was retiring. He suggested you, his grandchild. With anyone else, Hyunjin would’ve suspected nepotism…but, his number two was a good man, smart and capable.

Still, he was wary. He’d been told you were a street racer, wild and reckless…he wasn’t sure you were suited to be a mafia.

He smoothed his hair, and cleared his throat as he heard the door open, turning away from the large window behind his desk.

“Hello…I was expecting you-”

He froze, looking you up and down.
