a notification buzzed from your phone as you were journaling on your bed. you put aside your stuff to see what it was.

rafe had texted, ‘hey baby, you available?’

you smiled, texting back, ‘yeah, what’s up?’

then rafe’s contact showed up on your phone, he’s calling you. as you picked up the phone, he immediately spoke.
