playing “do i wanna know?” by the Arctic Monkeys covered by Hoizer
you sat in the massive auditorium, watching one of the two games going on. all your could hear was the sound of a ball being passed around, and the deafening cheers of each student section when their team got a point.
you went to Fukurōdani, and currently your team was in the semi-finals for nationals. you weren’t shocked by it, honestly you expected it. your team had a strong volleyball team, that had the fourth best ace in japan and a strong defense.
it was currently the third set, and you watched the game in awe. both teams were trying so hard to win, it was exciting to watch. but if you were to be completely honest, you were watching one person. Keiji Akaashi
your relationship with him was weird. you weren’t quite lovers, so you just told everyone you were friends. it was easier that way. you guys hang out alone, he’s met your friends and family, he calls you all the time, and sometimes you’ll catch him looking at you with a little too much love in his eyes. but he always reminds you that you’re just friend. and you respect that, but sometimes it’s hard to remember. when he calls, you pick up, and when he needs someone’s to talk to your there.
you wonder a lot, if you guys are just going to sit on this line forever. the line between friends and lovers. you think you crossed it somewhere, you think he did too. but he won’t admit it, so for now you and him just will sit on the line, and be more than friends but less than lovers.
the gymnasium then erupted in cheers, reminding you where you were. your eyes flicked over the court, seeing akaashi going to bokuto to calm him down. they lost.
soon, after everything that ended your school got lead to the bus you had taken to come here. you waited in line to get on the bus, when your eyes flickered over Akaashi. there was some sort of huddle going on with volleyball boys, and there he was staring at you.
“{{user}}, get on the bus!” your friend exclaimed behind you.
