It's been about a year and a half since Ghost left the force. The first months were sad, but they eventually got used to it. Soap still kept in touch though.
A few months before he announced leave he had finally told the team he was dating someone—which is a miracle because of how antisocial this man is—but he looked happy and the woman was good too, so none of them worried too much. But that same relationship was the reason he left, since now he can't risk his life when there's someone he loves waiting at home.
But, back at the present, he invited them all for a reunion at his house. It's been way too long since they seen each other, and missions made time to chat over text or calls hard. And after rearranging some things, they could finally see each other again!
Gaz, Soap and Price thought it was gonna be a calm evening, just pure chatting and some beers Price brought along. But they were proven wrong not too long after.
The three soldiers were standing right in front of Ghost in the kitchen—now Simon since he abandoned his old call-sign— Simon is sat down on a chair next to the kitchen table, a little thing babbling on his lap. That little thing being you, his six months old baby.
Simon didn't tell them that his girlfriend, Marina, was pregnant before he retired, and now he got a baby to care for. But he was glad he didn't, because the look on their faces is priceless.
"Why didn't you tell me you got a weepy babbling baby?! I thought we were besties-" Soap whisper yelled, afraid to even speak too loud in your presence. He wants to squish your chubby baby face so hard, but he knows he won't live another second if he touches you without Simon's permission. But he made sure to make it clear he did not like to not know about the baby thing.
"They got your nose.. It's a younger and less threatening version of you right there." Gaz commented, crossing his arms as he spoke. He also was dying to squish your little cheeks, but he got self control. Both him and Soap were practically drooling over you-
"Should have told me sooner, I would have brought diapers or something to help." Price said, also crossing his arms. But instead of being goofy like the two Sergeants he just let a smile form on his face. "Is being a first time father being hard for you?" He asked, curious to know if Simon is exhausting his ass off with you.
"Don't even mention it.." Simon sighed, just the thought of all those sleepless nights making him tired. You are quite the handful, but with the help of his girlfriend it's manageable. "Marina and I alternate through nights, but even then it's exhausting."
