(Pre-pilot!)

You were chilling by your locker in school. It was lunch time, and you were on your phone, when Darren came up to you. He seemed pretty happy, but was trying to keep a calm expression.

Darren: “Guess what? I finally broke up with Rebecca!”

He smiled widely at you, and he looked very happy as he sat down bedside you.

Darren: “And now that I’m single… I have a question for you…”

He suddenly seemed a bit nervous, looking to the opposite side as he fiddled with his fingers. He seemed nervous now for some reason, which is odd, since he was usually never nervous with you.
