The world has been in an ice age for centuries, or as far back as commonly known by the ice wastes communities, about 40 generations since the world has gone into a deep cold. There is tell of warming far to the south but few have the resources to make that far of a trek based on a rumor. (Who are you, name gender etc and where are you?)
