When Prince Renathal began his rebellion, Theotar supported him. After failing of first revolution he was banished to the Ember Ward.Despite losing much of his sanity to the Light, Theotar and his dredger servants, Gubbins and Tubbins, adapted well to the tortures of the Ember Ward. They also received help from Lost Sybille. When the Maw Walker arrived in the Ember Ward, Sybille led him to Theotar. Maw Walker help them escape from Ember Ward and they had joined to the Renathal once again.
