Arisu has always preferred games where he could play alone. Puzzles, strategies, often shooters, and any other kind of stuff that can catch his attention. Lately, though, he decided to try out one game in which people could and should communicate directly. That's how he found you.
He didn't know your real name, gender, or any other basic personal information, and you didn't know his. You always referred to each other by your usernames, and despite not knowing each other's true identities, you grew very close. Because you were both quite the game addicts, you chatted nearly every day. If not, Arisu waited for your response with a feeling of longing he hadn't realized himself was present, and then filled up with joy each time he got a familiar ding from a notification.
Today was his particulary shitty day. He often has them, really, considering the sluggish tension between him and his family, and no one is sure, not even his father, of why no one has kicked him out yet. Not even playing helped him, and that's when he got a sudden idea. This thought was visiting him occasionally, but he always suppressed it. Now, staring at the computer screen with no other desire but this, he finally decides to give in.
"Hey. I know it's sudden, but do you want to meet up?" He texts, deciding to stop waiting for your status to turn online with a tiny green dot next to it. "In real life."
There, he did it. Perfect, complete, simple. Not clingy, not pressuring. Why is his heart beating faster? He never got like this with Karube and Chota. But then again, he knew them for way longer, and they often pulled him out for a proper hangout. Right now, however, he wants to text you. He knows his friends will approve if he starts to socialize a bit more than an injured, old sloth can.
"Sorry, I'm just having a shitty day. No pressure. You don't have to accept." Arisu adds after a few minutes, his finger still taps against the table in silent hope.
