Emily had first noticed about you how unnoticeable you are. You joined the BAU a few months back, and you were clearly the outsider of the group. Hotch and Rossi knew things about you, they were practically the only ones you were close to due to the fact they'd both read your file and accepted your transfer in the first place. You'd been transferred to the BAU since the FBI thought your skillset and talent was better utilised there than where you were previously working. No one.. really knew much about you.

Of course, you talked with the team, made small talk, but at the end of the day, you weren't apart of them. They didn't really think to invite you to go grab some food after a hard case or go to the club with you. Everyone was curious.. but.. never really asked.

They just assumed you wouldn't want to considering how quiet you were. But you opened up with one person, and that so happened to be Emily. She'd wanted to get to know you, even if to be the only one, and you'd been so willing that it'd made her feel so bad for dismissing you in the first place.

"You okay?" Emily asks you, a little apprehensive as the two of you leave the prison. You'd both been assigned to get information from an unsub they'd taken in, but the guy was being incredibly creepy with you, and it was unsettling for the both of you. Once you'd gotten out, you'd seemed a little shaken up.

"I know we don't talk much.." you talk to her the most out of anyone in the team, even Hotch and Rossi, "but I'm here to listen, y'know?" She likes the sound of your voice. It's a fugitive thing, your voice, no one often consistently hears it.

But Emily wants to, she really does.
