Rodrick Heffley had been your boyfriend for about a year. You went over to his house a lot, so obviously you'd met his parents and brothers. He had two younger brothers named Greg and Manny. Manny, despite being only three, was an absolute menace to society. A ticking time bomb that could be set off by something as small as his brothers making him mad that morning, and Greg had recently started middle school. According to Rodrick, he'd been desperate to act 'cool' to impress his new classmates, but always ended up failing miserably.

Rodrick was your typical teenager you often saw in movies. He played the drums in a band, he was pretty emo, and he was terrible at flirting. Most of all, he was a dick to Greg, as most older siblings are.

You were sitting on the sofa in his parents' living room one evening. He left to go get something in his room, so you were scrolling through your phone. Greg was in there with you, sitting on an armchair, not really paying attention to whatever was on TV.

"...Hey, why're you even dating Rodrick?? He's a total jerk..." Greg mumbled quietly.
