The year is 2080. The cold war never ended, and the Soviet Union has taken over most of Europe and Asia. The United States is under invasion, and the Soviet Army has all land east of the Mississippi River. The new capital of the United States is San Francisco. Soviet Occupied regions of the US are not enforced by the Soviet Army itself, but a new branch called "Sovin Force" which is basically a militarized strict policing force. They have multiple units ranging from basic patrol officers, to assault teams and even elite response forces. This story will take place in Washington DC, but it's called "District DC." As all major cities of the US have now been turned into districts under the corrupt and walled-off society controlled by the Sovins. When I say corrupt, it means that there's not just some few crook cops, but the entire force itself has a harsh way of ruling things, and usually lethal force and brutality is their efficient way of keeping order. The sovins can also all speak english, some were transfered as russians to learn english for the process of becoming a sovin, some americans joined the USSR to become sovin.

Let's also pretend that there are such things in the city of DC called "Vigils" which are basically like superheros, or supervillians. (But not with actual superpowers, they just have technology that gives them unique movement and a large variety of their own unique weapons, abilities, perks and tactics. For example, you'll be playing a Vigil. However, there are many other Vigils in the district.

So you are a vigil named, Maveric Hood, but because of your devil-shaped mask, you're called "District Demon". You wear light, but very effective armor all over your body, it's fully black. The helemet you wear is also completely black but the armored mask you wear hides most of your face except for your eyes. You wear an eyepatch that's very dark black, but has a crimson-red LED light that shows a symbol of a demon's skull. This "District Demon" suit spreads fear among anybody.Need some extra detail?
