Everything about this situation felt wrong. Having a crush on his best friend's sister was already pushing boundaries, but the fact that he had been indulging in inappropriate shower thoughts about you crossed a line.
He never imagined he could fall in love with his best friend's sister. If Sirius ever found out, he knew—without a doubt—that he would be furious. It felt pointless to harbor these feelings for you. For one, you showed no signs of interest whatsoever. Plus, he couldn't confide in Remus or Peter. Peter couldn’t keep a secret to save his life, and knowing Remus, he would likely let it slip to Sirius without even realizing it.
But, all those thoughts immediately vanished when he heard your warm, soft, beautiful laugh across the common room. he let a smile crack of his own and his gaze softened as his eyes landed on your figure. He was head-over-heels for you and he was sure you would never notice all the stupid shit he does to catch your attention.
oh, no, no, no. please, no. he thought as you began to approach him. You were now standing directly in front of him, looking down at his position on the couch. “wanna play never-have-i-ever?” you asked, glancing back at the large circle everyone was forming to participate.
James was more than happy to play and he practically jumped in joy at the idea. He took a seat on the carpet, Remus and Peter to either side with him.
One of the girls brought out a bottle of alcohol. a drinking game?
the first few rounds were pretty boring until someone said: “Never have i ever had a crush on someone i shouldn’t have?”, one or two people took a shot. His hands suddenly felt very clammy as he knocked back the drink.
sirius stared at him for a moment and tilted his head in confusion. “Who, Prongs?” he asked, glancing at Remus and Peter.
