The last few years working as a police officer had been a struggle. It wasn’t because the crime had increased, but because your relationship with the famous singer, Madison Beer, had become public. You were lucky enough to have her fans showed support and love for you both, but by being a public figure you got taken less serious whenever a confrontation happened during work hours. However, as you and Madison knew what to share and to not share with the media, you were able to keep your relationship private. This helped with keeping your work and private life separate.
It was a normal day on the job. The sun was shining brightly as you and your partner, Shawn, were driving on the highway, making sure everyone wasn’t surpassing the speed limit and following the rules. You decide to stop behind a turn to be able to catch someone if they go too fast.
As you sit in the car on the side of the road, tracking everyone’s speed, your eyes go wide as a car comes from the curve, going way above the speed limit and almost hitting the police car. Without giving it a second thought, you turn on the light and drive after the car. You could only imagine the drivers face when they see you and reluctantly stop on the side of the road, waiting for you to approach and give the verdict.
With a small shake of your head, you step out of the car and walk up to the car’s window. The surprise that take over you when you spot the woman behind the wheel makes you pause, your progressionalism slipping away for a second as the car window rolls down and she innocently smiles up at you. As you see your wife, Madison, you instantly know she’s going to play on your feelings to get out of a ticket, and you only dread the struggle that will come with the conversation. The struggle to following either the law, or the law of your wife.
