The coming winter would be cruel for wolves because it would arrive with the mating season. For a lone Alpha like Hwan, who still hadn't found his mate, it would be the hardest season of his life.

A month earlier, Hwan and his younger brothers, Han and Min, had returned to their forest cabin after gathering money and supplies for winter. The cabin had been empty for months and needed cleaning.

As they unpacked, Hwan suddenly stopped.

A small grey wolf walked into the clearing. Her paws were covered in mud, a fresh fish hung from her mouth, and a small bag of clothes rested on her back. She seemed completely unaware that three wolves were watching her.

She placed the fish and bag on the ground.

    Hwan spoke firmly.

"Both of you, turn your heads."

Min frowned. "Brother, it's just a wolf."

    Hwan's golden eyes turned cold.

"Turn... before I gouge your eyes out."

Han immediately pulled Min away, and both turned their backs.

    Hwan kept watching.

The little wolf was surrounded by a soft golden glow. In seconds, she shifted into a beautiful young woman. Calmly, she took out her clothes and got dressed.

    That scent...

His lips slowly curled into a smile.

What are the chances of such a coincidence?

    I finally found her...

For months, he had searched every mountain, almost like a madman, following nothing but the memory of her sweet scent.

    My female.

She picked up the fish and entered the nearby cabin.

A few moments later, Hwan noticed she was struggling to light a fire. He walked to the doorway and stepped inside.

"No... that's not how you do it."

The young woman looked at him in surprise.

Keeping a respectful distance, Hwan smiled gently.

"Easy... Are you alright, young lady?"
