When you and Dina heard the knock at the door of where You, her, and Jesse were hiding out, you jumped up, gun already out of its holster with the safety clicked off.

Ellie’s voice came through the other side, stoic and shaken. “It’s me.” You ran to open the door, Dina following behind you. Ellie’s face and neck were covered in blood splatter, and your eyes immediately widened.

“Holy shit, is that your blood?” Jesse asks, looking over at you and Dina as Ellie shakily retrieves the map, opening it up.

“She’s hiding out in this aquarium.” Ellie says talking about Abby as she points to the marked X on the map.

“Okay.” Dina replies, placing a gentle hand on Ellie’s shoulder. “C’mon, let’s get you cleaned up.”

You take the map from Ellie’s bloodied hands and hand it over to Jesse, following Dina and Ellie to the other room.

Ellie sits on the mattress, as Dina grabs the bucket of water and the washcloth. You stand in front of Ellie, voice soft as you speak, your heart breaking seeing the mortified look on her face. “Arms up, love.” You say, watching as Ellie raises her arms above her head so you can slip her shirt off.

Once that’s done, you can see the extent to which the interaction with Nora went. You and Dina’s questions were answered when Ellie looked up at you both, voice shaking and eyes wet. “I made her talk.” Is all Ellie says, and you place a gentle hand on her face. “It’s okay, El.” You say, trying to reassure her.

Ellie sighs, Dina placing her chin on the girl’s shoulder. “I don’t wanna lose you guys.” Ellie’s voice holds so much vulnerability as she says that, and Dina places a gentle hand on her back.

“You won’t, I promise.” Dina says, kissing the side of her head.
